A user can indicate to a website that they do not want their online activities to be monitored by using the “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) function found in some web browsers, such as Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. A browser has the ability to prevent a website that responds to a DNT signal from gathering certain user data about that browser. DNT signals are not yet consistent, and not every browser has this feature. Because of this, a lot of companies, including Wife for Life do not now react to DNT signals.

It will be available based on your choices if you decide to restrict who can view all or some of your profile, as well as certain content or personal data.

For corporate transactions
If we are involved, fully or partially, in a merger, sale, acquisition, divestment, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy, or other change of ownership or control, we may transfer your information.
With law enforcement / when required by law
If one of the following scenarios applies, we may be required by law to disclose your information: (i) to comply with a legal process, such as a court order, subpoena, or search warrant; (ii) to help prevent or detect crime (subject in each case to applicable law); or (iii) to ensure the safety of any person.

With your consent or at your request
In order to share your information with third parties, we might need your permission. If such a situation arises, we will be transparent about our motivation for disclosing the data.
Under any of the aforementioned situations, we may use and share non-personal information (i.e., data that does not individually identify you, such as device information, general demographics, general behavioral data, and geolocation in de-identified form) in addition to personal information in hashed, non-human readable form.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
We would like to remind you of the following choices and resources that are at your disposal because we want you to be in charge of your information:
- Access and update the service’s tools. You can use tools and account settings to directly access, edit, or erase information that you gave us that is connected to your account within the service. Please use this link to contact our customer support staff for assistance if you have any questions about those tools and settings.
- Permissions on a device. Certain device data and notifications, such as phone contacts, photos, location services, push notifications, and advertising identifiers, may be subject to permission mechanisms on mobile platforms. You have the ability to adjust your device’s settings to approve or disapprove of the gathering and use of the relevant data, as well as the showing of the relevant alerts. Naturally, doing so might make some services inoperable.
- Uninstall. By using your device’s normal uninstall procedure, you can terminate an app’s data gathering. Please keep in mind that removing an app does not terminate your account. Please utilize the relevant service functionality to close your account.
- Account termination. You can use the relevant feature on the service directly to close your account.
We also want you to understand that you have rights to privacy. Here are some essential things to keep in mind:
- Going over the data you provided. You may be entitled, under applicable privacy laws, to access and evaluate the personal information we maintain about you (this may be referred to by different names in different jurisdictions, such as right of access, right of portability, or right to know). By submitting a request like this one here, you can exercise this right.
- Updating the data that you have. Please get in touch with us using this form if you think the data we have about you is incorrect or that we no longer have the right to use it. You can also request that the data be deleted, rectified, or have its processing restricted.
Before we may respond to the aforementioned requests, we may ask you to produce identification for the safety of all of our users, including yourself.
Remember that we reserve the right to refuse requests for a variety of reasons, such as when we are unable to verify your identity, when the request is illegal or unlawful, or when it would violate someone else’s privacy, intellectual property, or trade secrets. Before the information is released, the other user must get in touch with us and give their written agreement if you want to get information about them, such as a copy of any messages you got from them via our service. Before we respond to the request, we could also require them to show us their identification.
Additionally, there are situations in which we might not be able to comply with requests to restrict or object to the processing of personal data, particularly if doing so would make it impossible for us to continue serving you. For example, without your date of birth, we are unable to guarantee that you are 25 years of age or older and hence cannot provide our service.
7. HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION
We only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill our legal obligations and conduct proper business operations (as described in Section 5). You can close your account and make your profile inaccessible to other people if you choose to stop using our services. Please be aware that if your account is dormant for two years, we will automatically close it. Following the closure of your account, we will remove your personal data as described below:
- We institute a safety retention window that lasts for three months after account closure in order to safeguard our users’ security and safety. We retain your information during this time in case it becomes essential to look into any damaging or illegal activity. Our legitimate interest and the legitimate interest of possible third-party victims are the basis for information retention during this safety retention window.
- We remove your data when the safety retention window expires and only retain a minimal amount of information for the reasons listed below:
а) We retain specific data for a maximum of ten years in order to comply with legal requirements pertaining to data retention in tax and accounting. In order to meet legal requirements for data retention, we might also need to save “traffic data” and logs for a year. In addition, we save user consent records for a period of five years as proof of our adherence to relevant legal requirements.
b) We retain certain data based on our legitimate interest: we preserve customer service records and related information for five years, as well as the exact location of downloads and purchases, to support our customer service decisions, protect our rights, and enable us to defend ourselves in the event of a claim.
c) Lastly, when there is an ongoing or potential issue, claim, or dispute that requires us to keep information, we preserve it based on our legitimate interest. This includes when we receive a legitimate legal subpoena or request asking us to preserve data, in which case we would need to keep the data to comply with our legal obligations, or when data would otherwise be required as part of legal proceedings.
